Administrative Litigation Attorney in Portland, Oregon

My experience with administrative law and litigation goes back to the beginning of my career. My administrative litigation experience ranges from local administrative law to the state Administrative Procedures Act, to the federal Administrative Procedures Act and related federal litigation.

As a land use lawyer, I’ve shepherded cases permits through the local hearings process on many occasions. My experience also includes litigation of mandamus writs and representing public and private entities regarding the writ of review. LUBA is a familiar forum as is the Oregon Court of Appeals.

One of my primary responsibilities at the state was litigating cases under the Oregon Administrative Procedure Act. Since leaving the state I’ve represented clients in disputes with agencies under the APA. This legislation is highly specialized and requires a litigator experienced in this area of law.

My federal litigation experience includes representing clients in injunctive litigation under the federal Administrative Procedures Act. I have often appeared in federal District Court, and I have also handled appeals in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
